Fish and Wildlife Questions, Problems, Concerns

Regulated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FFWCC)    Call 863-648-3203

Questions and concerns related to fish, fishing, hunting, and other wildlife issues should be directed to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FFWCC).  Their website is full of information regarding hunting, fishing, and the fish and wildlife of Florida!

If you would like to report injured wildlife violation that needs immediate attention, or is in progress, please call the 24 hour Law Enforcement hotline at 1-888-404-3922 (FFWCC) or you can report violations online.  Rewards are available.  If you would like to report a nuisance alligator, please call 1-866-392-4286 or 1-866-FWC-GATOR.

Keep in mind that just because an alligator is in your lake it is not automatically a nuisance.  Alligators are only a nuisance if they start behaving aggressively towards people (swimming towards you instead of away from you for example).  This usually only happens when someone has been feeding the alligator.  They were here first and the best thing you do for them is leave them and alone, and they in turn will most likely leave you alone.  Click here to view the FFWCC's "Living with Alligators" brochure.
